Yuri Hanada is a Japanese-Korean film and digital photographer from Los Angeles, California.  Originally graduated from Otis College of Art & Design with a BFA in Fashion Design, she’s worked under the mentorship with brands such as Nike, Eddie Bauer, J Brand, APL, and many more. Through her fashion work experience, she later discovered through fashion her passion for photography. After moving to Tokyo to reconnect with her Japanese roots culture, she was also exposed to Tokyo’s creative community and fashion scene which further inspired her to pursue her career in photography as well as in videography.

Through her everyday captures of Tokyo life that later evolved into shaping her own unique style of blending digital and film together, she now works with both mediums, usually combining digital techniques and editing effects with analog film. As a mixed medium artist, she often works with both film and digital gear, experimenting with many types of different gears and formats such as 3D lenticular/stereoscopic film, medium formats, and a wider range of different film and digital cameras she owns and is equipped with.

Shooting a variety of categories including portraits, fashion brands/editorial, street, cars, architecture, and every day moments captured on film, her style represents nostalgic elements of the past such as collaging compositions with scanning her own analog film while remaining current with her own constantly evolving editing through current software and color grading.
